The Steigenberger subsidiary H.E.A.D. Hotel Equipment and Design GmbH (H.E.A.D.) is now making its purchasing platform H.E.A.D.@web available to strategic partners and costumers. The tool offers hotel specific procurement solutions that can be used collaboratively.
Austria's largest Hotel Group Vienna International Hotelmanagement AG will in future work with the eProcurement system developed by H.E.A.D. - a modern, intuitive and web-based purchasing tool. Explicitly geared to the requirements of the hotel and service industry, it ensures greater transparency, control and management of all purchasing activities. It is the basic building block for strategic purchasing. It has been in successful use at Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts and IntercityHotels since 2013.

The hotels order their goods electronically in the catalogues maintained by the supplier. Responsible persons have the possibility to view, approve or reject orders. After agreement the customer takes over existing catalogues of H.E.A.D..
With Collaborative Sourcing, H.E.A.D. has developed a unique model in which the platform is used for joint purchasing projects. Volume, processes and expertise can be bundled and synergies can be used optimally.
Vienna International controls a total of 38 Hotels from its headquarters in Vienna from Russia to France. In Germany, the Group comprises 14 hotels, including the design Hotel Andel's in Berlin and two Angelo Hotels in Munich. The purchasing system will initially be introduced in all hotels in Germany. Another roll-out of the tool is planned for all regions.
